Charlie Willcox, Counsel
FATCA/CRS and Regulatory Advisor
Charlie is a financial services professional with over 45 years of experience in the industry. He focused over the last 25 years on the areas of risk management and control, specifically internal audit, compliance and operational risk, in the wealth management and private client arenas in multiple jurisdictions.
Since 2012 Charlie has focussed purely on the FATCA and CRS reporting regimes, firstly project managing their implementation across the global group of a large multi-family office and subsequently assuming responsibility for ensuring ongoing compliance. He is an acknowledged expert in this area and now advises firms on all aspects of these regimes and regularly speaks at conferences and holds seminars on the subject.
Charlie has a strong focus on adding value by providing practical solutions to issues and problems identified but he is also not afraid to challenge management where business practices expose the firm to serious risk of regulatory breach or an unacceptable level of reputational damage.
